A’ST1 Disbanded?

DSP’s A’ST1 has been off the radar for awhile now, not being active in the industry since their promotion of Dynamite. A rumor had come up today that the boy band will disband.

The Brown Eyed Girls starred on the Guerilla Date corner of this week’s episode of KBS 2TV’s Yunyega where Narsha was asked who her ideal man was – and it turns out that her ideal man is none other than actor Ryu Seung Bum! And after admitting this, she quickly added, “Miss Gong Hyo Jin (who is currently dating him), you must be happy.”

Miryo said, “My ideal man is Hyun Bin. Miss Song Hye Gyo (who is currently dating him), you must be happy,” which garnered a lot of laughter from the audience.

Amber,Krystal & Sulli are A-Okay now :)

It was announced earlier this week that not one but three of the members of f(x) had been diagnosed with swine flu. After a week of speedy recovery, Amber, Krystal, and Sulli have been confirmed to resume their activities on the 30th.

On the 28th, a representative of the group stated, “Amber, Krystal, and Sulli went to the hospital today and it was declared that they had fully recovered.” The group had gone to the hospital on the 22nd and the three girls were diagnosed with the virus the next day. Luna and Victoria were also tested but their results came up negative.

The group had recently released their first single Chu~♡ but promotions had to be halted due to this trio’s absence from the group. Looking forward to the quintet’s return!

JYP Entertainment declares ‘NO to slave contracts’

The agency of Wonder Girls, 2AM, and 2PM, JYP Entertainment, has stated that they are against the use of slave contracts.

The Fair Trade Commission of Korea has stated on the 26th “JYP is currently using a contract that is made from our standards with standard stipulations.”

Following what the FTC stated, it has been revealed that JYP utilizes a contract set up by the FTC last July for celebrities. They went on to say “JYPE is the first entertainment company to use our standard contracts.”

The contracts of JYP as revealed by FTC show that the 7 year contracts are exclusive to the time period and lets the entertainer control their own activities. Should their income increase, the amount distributed back to the entertainer will also increase, also known as a sliding system.

“We hope that JYP will become the stepping stone to a new standard of contracts in the music world.”

SHINee’s Taemin gets the Swine Flu :(

And it never ends… SHINee’s Taemin is the latest victim of the notorious swine flu.

Taemin was rushed to the hospital on the 25th after realizing a fever and on the 26th has been diagnosed to be H1N1 positive.

SM Entertainment stated:

“Taemin has been diagnosed with swine flu. We will cancel all of his scheduled events and he will take a rest.”

Jonghyun and Onew have both recovered and now Taemin has fallen. SM Entertainment seems to be plagued with swine flu, as the three member of f(x) are also currently ill but recovering quickly.

Lee Joon gets hit with Swine Flu >(

Yes Ladies *sighs*. It’s sadly true . MBLAQ’s hottie with the bodie gets diagnosed with the swine flu.

On the 25th, a representative of JTune Entertainment stated:

“Lee Joon was declared positive for H1N1 and got hospitalized today. He was prescribed Tamiflu and is currently undergoing treatment. Other members also have symptoms of the cold, so they have received examinations today as well. The results will be available two days from now.”

MBLAQ will  continue their activities, but as a four member group. However their performance on KBS Music Bank scheduled to air on the 26th has been canceled.

“Because of You”, After School is back

That’s right After School is back and it’s with “Because of You” . This is their first song as a 7 member girl group and also with their new members Raina and Nana. The song was said to be a shibuya kei style song with a nice cool electro pop feel. (:
